The matter was addressed in the GEC’s Regular Meeting on Wednesday, May 22, 2024. Please know that the Commission will adhere to 3 GCA § 7108 (b), which requires that the voter adequately identifies the write-in candidate in order for the vote to be valid for that candidate. Please further note that the publication of the names written in on ballots has been affected due to the enactment of Public Law 37-84, attached for your reference.

After tabulation has been completed for the Primary Election, the Commission will make the determination if a review and publication of write-in candidates is required, pursuant to PL 37-84. At this time, the Commission does not require any further action from you.
